PUBLIC EDUCATION PROJECT

Public education Waste recycling and reduction has become popular among organizations in today's world. Waste recycling regulations have become stringent and as such everyone is encouraged to engage in activities that reduces the amount of waste produced. Obri Komfo Freedom Empowerment Organization, partners with waste recycling companies to recycle into useful items or dispose them in a way that has less negative impact on the environment. We educate the primary, juniors high, and senior high school students, on the effects of poor environmental hygiene and ways to eliminate or reduce waste in the environment. We hold conferences and workshopsin tertiary institutions to preparethem for leadership roles pertaining to environmental management and sustainability. We visit media outlets, lorry stations, and market places to educate the people about proper way of disposing and separating waste. Thus into Food, Water, Plastics, Glass. The bins distributed are divided into these waste sections, this is to help instill the culture of proper waste separation in Ghanaians.

TAIFA COOMMUNITY BASIC SCHOOL

Obri Komfo visited Taifa community basic school to interact with the children and encourage them to join in achieving the project goals. We educated them on proper ways of reducing, disposing and separating waste, efrects of poor environmental practices and benefits of tree planting on climate health.

AKWEIBU BASIC SCHOLL

Obri Komfo visited Akweibu basic school to interact with the children and encourage them to join in achieving the project goals. We educated them on proper ways of reducing, disposing and separating waste, efects of poor environmental practices and benefits of tree planting on climate health.

WEIJA TOWN

We visited the town of Weija to have a health talk with the residents - from households to marketplaces, social centres and bus stations. The community understood the health benefits derived from keeping our environment clean and healthy. The group educated them on the various diseases- cholera, dysentery, malaria, typhoid and diarrhoea, caused by poor environmental health. We shared cleaning materials as well to facilitate a cleaner environment in the area.

Our media tour began at Sirius TV. Our representatives had the opportunity to introduce our project, it's vision and benefits to the public.
